The new Vernis In Love collection which is part of Lancome's new "Love Themed" collection caught my eye on a recent trip to Nordstrom.
Stephanie the amazing Beauty Advisor at the Lancome counter at the Somerset Nordstrom was extremely helpful and knowledgeable of this collection.
I picked up the shade Midnight Rose which is a lovely berry color. I'm in LOVE with Vernis in Love and highly impressed!
Before this, I never owned or tried a Lancome nail polish so I can't tell if there is a difference in formulas or what not.
Vernis in Love comes in 15 beautiful shades, the applicator makes it soo easy to apply.
The color payoff is very opaque at 1 coat, you may not need a second coat... I only used a second coat to fix the edges that I couldn't get to with 1 stroke.
The overall finish and texture is very similar to that of the Wet and Wild Megalast nail polishes reviewed here.
The closest color I have in my collection is ULTA Salon Formula in Plum Perfect which is just a little bit lighter than Midnight Rose.
Vernis in love is currently exclusive to Nordstrom stores, www.nordstrom.com and the Lancome website, they will eventually roll out to other counters around May 2012.
At $15 per bottle, I say give it a go and let me know what you think.
